### BCCI Awards Substantial Cash Prize for Champions Trophy Triumph
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a substantial cash incentive of INR 58 crore for the Indian cricket team following their victorious campaign in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy. This prize amount is notably three times the official prize money, underscoring the board’s appreciation for the players’ outstanding performance.
Under the astute leadership of Captain Rohit Sharma, the team showcased exceptional skill and strategic prowess throughout the tournament, maintaining an undefeated streak. India’s triumph culminated in a decisive victory against New Zealand in the final match. The official statement confirms that the financial reward will extend to players, coaching and support staff, and members of the men’s selection committee, headed by Ajit Agarkar.
“The BCCI is thrilled to present a cash reward of INR 58 crore to Team India for their remarkable accomplishment at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025,” stated a BCCI release. “This reward reflects our appreciation for the players, coaching and support staff, and the Men’s Selection Committee, whose efforts have been instrumental in this success.”
