Emerging as one of India’s standout domestic players in 2024, Suryansh Shedge had a career-defining performance during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final. With Mumbai chasing 175 against Madhya Pradesh, Shedge’s explosive 36* off 15 balls, including three boundaries and four maximums, clinched the win. He also claimed Venkatesh Iyer’s wicket. Shedge ended the tournament with 131 runs at an average of 43.66 and a striking rate of 251.92. After impressive outings in the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Ranji Trophy, Shedge, signed by Punjab Kings at his base price of INR 30 lakh, is on the brink of breaking into the fiercely competitive Indian setup.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi (Rajasthan Royals)

A surprise pick during last year’s IPL mega-auction, Vaibhav Suryavanshi joins the Rajasthan Royals for INR 1.1 crore. Born on March 27, 2011, in Bihar, Suryavanshi is the youngest player on this list. Remarkably, he made his first-class debut aged just 12 years and 284 days. He showcased his talent with a rapid century in an India U19 match against Australia and has participated in the SMAT 2024 tournament. Suryavanshi was the seventh-highest scorer at the ACC Under 19 Asia Cup 2024-25 with 176 runs.

Andre Siddarth (Chennai Super Kings)

Bevon Jacobs (Mumbai Indians)

The sole international player on this list, Pretoria-born Bevon Jacobs, has represented New Zealand’s Auckland and Canterbury in domestic cricket. He joined the Mumbai Indians roster following a series of impressive T20 performances, achieved in just six innings with a strike rate of 189. Secured for INR 20 lakh, Jacobs has accumulated 423 runs in 17 innings in his T20 career, boasting a strike rate over 148 with two half-centuries to his name.
