Ahead of the 2025 Indian Premier League, Nicholas Pooran has expressed full confidence in Rishabh Pant, the newly appointed captain of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Pooran believes the team possesses the ideal balance necessary to claim the championship title this season.
Reported by Indo-Asian News Service, Pooran, who continues with LSG as one of the five retained players, articulated his optimism about the team’s prospects starting March 22, 2025. He shared, “We have an excellent chance this year with our well-rounded squad featuring both seasoned athletes and promising talents. We are eager to follow the leadership of our experienced players.”
Pant assumed his leadership role in January after being procured for a record-breaking Rs 27 crore during the Jeddah auction. Addressing Pant’s leadership, Pooran remarked, “His arrival has infused a refreshing vitality. With his wealth of experience and remarkable skills, we are eager to see him excel. He commands our complete support, both on and off the pitch. Ultimately, actions will prove more telling than words.”
